Largest Fintech financing in Swiss history – Kellerhals Carrard advised Knip AG

Zurich – The business law firm Kellerhals Carrard with offices in Basel, Bern, Lausanne/Sion and Zurich advised Knip AG, a mobile, digital Insurance Manager for Smartphones, headquartered in Berlin and Zurich in a Series B round of financing with a volume of approximately CHF 15 million. This is the largest Fintech financing in Swiss history ever.

The Knip AG makes it possible to store all insurance policies digitally in a Smartphone app. In an insurance case these are immediately available. Route 66 Ventures, a leading Fintech investment firm from the United States, led the financing round. Other investors include Creathor Ventures from Germany, Orange Growth Capital from the Netherlands, QED Investors from the United States and Redalpine from Switzerland.

Kellerhals Carrard advised Knip AG in all legal questions and drafted the finance documents. The team of Kellerhals Carrard was led by partner and head of Kellerhals Carrard Startup Desk Karim Maizar. The team consisted of Nicolai Nuber (corporate), Andrea Schmutz and Samuel Rickli (both notarial).
